The relevance of studying the differences in the moral activity of students from different courses is justified. Materials and methods. The main research methods are the analysis of scientific literature devoted to the problems of moral activity and professional development and diagnostic techniques, including testing and statistical data processing methods.

Results. According to the results of the study, we found differences in moral activity between students of different courses, at the subject level and at the personality level.

Discussion. The differences are connected with features of the course in which students are studying. Students of the first and fourth courses are in a situation that has already occurred or is about to change their social status, which affects the indicators of the semantic sphere, and the emotional and cognitive levels of behavior control. Students, that studying at second and third courses, are in the middle of the educational process, and not apt to quick changes in social status and activity, which is reflected in values, meaningfulness and controllability of life, and in a greater level of cognitive control of behavior. Besides that, there are changes in active ways to overcome situations that cause negative emotions, which are representing emotional control.

Conclusion. The results of the research contribute to the study of the moral activity of the university students and can be used to assist in the adaptation of first-year students to the educational process, as well as psychological support for last-year students in future professional adaptation.
